“Our Polaris Still Towards Winning”: SD Maintains Line After Owner’s Death

Despite the unexpected passing of its owner, the San Diego Padres’ direction remains unchanged.

The Padres announced today that Eric Cutcenda will be the new president and interim manager of the organization.

Cutcenda was also named interim president of the Padres at an earlier owners’ meeting.

Seidler was co-founder and managing partner of Seidler Equity Partners (SEP), the private equity firm Seidler founded in 1999, a position he still holds today.굿모닝토토

At SEP, he serves on the Executive Committee and Investment Committee and is actively involved in setting and overseeing strategic vision, the Padres said.

His title with the Padres was Special Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer.

“It has been a tremendous privilege to work with Peter Seidler for nearly 30 years,” Cutcenda said in a press release. It is with a heavy heart and great humility that I accept this role in his honor.”

“I look forward to working with CEO Eric Groupon and President A.J. Preller to guide the Padres organization as it moves forward to fulfill Mr. Seidler’s vision. This vision includes ensuring that the Padres remain a family asset that will be passed down for generations, and is rooted in the late owner’s dedication to the fans and the San Diego community.”

He added, “Our North Star has not changed. It’s to bring a World Series championship to San Diego,” emphasizing that the team still has its sights set on winning the World Series.
